What do you get when you combine bulldozers and go karts on one of San Diego’s finest beaches? A motivated sales force with some sand in their shoes! Such was the case when the world leader in heavy equipment manufacturing chose CalSpeed Karting to produce a high speed racing event with one major condition – it had to be walking distance from the host hotel of it’s annual North American Sales Conference – located on Coronado Island. With very limited options, the team at CalSpeed negotiated the use of several paved camping lots at Silver Strand State Beach to build a proper race track to entertain the 150 sales leaders from across the continent.
