no incident in turn one and an explanation point on the bad start, but it would be enough to once again cut the premier Main down to 14 laps. Once things did get underway, it would be Hunt out front, with Ayrton Demoss and Sean Fite in tow, however, Demoss would waste no time challenging for the lead and was the torch bearer almost immediately. The three would play things smart, and while they stayed in a line, the pack behind them would do battle, with the war going all the way to the checkers. This would make it a three- horse race, with Ayrton leading nearly the entire race; Hunt making his move on the penultimate lap, but he would go unchallenged in the end, as Ayrton fought back on the final circuit. Sean Fite would try and take advantage as they pair in front, diced it up in the hairpin, and the trio would make it three wide going to the Tecnico section. Hunt and Demoss would go side by side through Scandi, allowing Fite to give it one more go, but he mistimed it and had to settle for third, while Hunt held on to score his third win in a row.
The win bolstered Hunt’s lead in the championship over Paulo Franca, who is still solidly in second after now a worst finish of 4th in the A-Mains so far, while several other drivers behind the top two saw their championship hopes improve with solid finishes in Round #4.
